"John Deere lunch kid and a thermos full of cool aid 

September harvest and I missed another school day 

14 hours worth of dirt and there were lessons learned 

Waste deep in those fields of gold 7 tons of steel and a twelve year old 

Working hard just to keep it in a straight line, on the Combine  ~ "On the Combine", High Valley

 What do I love most about Fall? So many things to be honest about with you. 

Autumn never ceases to amaze me by it's changing scenery, the nippy mornings, and the traditions that go along with it.

I firmly believe that whenever a child is born during a season, it becomes a part of them and they are lovers of it. So though I was born in December (a winter month mind you) I was also born during the late autumn season, thus making me an autumn girl through and through. :)

Even though this season is short, it's also a season full of memories ready to be made. What comes to mind when I think of Fall are the chilly mornings when I get ready to run, handmade scarves and mittens that my mom makes, the leaves changing to deep orange and russet red, drinking nutella coffee in big mugs, homemade chili that my dad makes, and of course the harvest of the corn/beans. Definitely one of the highlights of living in Iowa. ;)
